Ecole Vinet.

Website redesign for one of Switzerland's oldest private schools. The site needed to feel modern and energetic without losing the academic weight of an institution that has been teaching students for over a century.

Overview

Redesigned the website for Ecole Vinet, a private co-ed day school in Switzerland for students aged 10 to 18. The old site did not reflect the school's identity: it felt stiff and dated, while the school itself is personalized and student-focused. The visual challenge was the main one. Making a site feel lively and fun for prospective families while keeping the tone that says “this is a serious, historic institution“ is a narrow line to walk. The redesign also had to handle a large number of photos throughout, make education programs easy to compare, put brochures within reach on every relevant page, and simplify the admissions process with a form that does not scare people off.

Goal & result

Goal

Parents researching private schools need to feel two things at once: that their child will enjoy being here, and that the education is rigorous. The old site only communicated the second part, and not very well. The redesign had to bring out the school's personality (small classes, individual attention, real student life) while respecting a history that stretches back generations. On the practical side, education programs had to be easy to scan and compare, brochures had to be reachable without hunting for them, and the admissions form had to be short enough that parents actually complete it.

Result

A site that balances energy and tradition. Photo-heavy layouts show real student life throughout, while the typography and structure keep it feeling academic. Programs are laid out so parents can compare tracks at a glance. Brochures are accessible from program pages, not buried in a downloads section. The admissions form is streamlined to the essentials so fewer parents drop off midway. Built in Webflow.

Closer look

Ecole Vinet photo-driven layout
Photo-driven layout with academic structure. The site uses large, candid student photography as the primary visual language, but the grid, typography, and spacing keep things structured enough to feel institutional.
Ecole Vinet program page template
Program page template. Each program lives on its own page but follows the same structure, so parents who browse multiple tracks always know where to look. The consistent layout also made it easier to populate content with the school.
